There's about 60 hours to go before Samz Summer 08 officially begins. So, let me share the itinerary with you ..
The plane lands in LA - Sam knows where she's sleeping the first night and then the next two or three days are full of blurs, possibilities and question marks .. maybe some desert, maybe some ocean, maybe trying to revisit some history.. maybe not .. then on May 4 with a Japanese lady by the lovely name of "Lala" - Sam will be driving up the Pacific Coast to Esalen.
Two months of studying permaculture follows with a 4 day break in the middle to go to Austin, Texas to be a bridesmaid at Lara and Paul's US wedding (yee-ha).
Esalen will be over at the very end of June and 4 weeks of playtime follows.
July 28 marks the start of a new adventure - volunteering for a month at Hollyhock - a Canadian retreat centre on a small island off the coast of Vancouver. Yoga and organic, homegrown food are all part of the experience.
Then somehow (method and stop-off points to be decided) Sam will inch her way towards the East Coast of the US where she has her brother's wedding on Sep 7 - which will be a lovely family reunion after all these weeks on the road.
I have no idea what these blog entries are going to contain over the next few months. I feel like I'm taking a huge leap into the unknown - but I already feel the beautiful, strong arms waiting to catch me, lift me, keep me flying ..
